Here is a list of the various ministries and programmes we’re engaged in and support.
Life Groups
Life Groups (also called LGs or Care Groups) are an essential part of EEFC's ministries. The vision of Life Group vision is a close-knit highly accountable, relationally transparent, word-centered and outward-focused small discipleship unit that seeks to encourage each other to be more and more like Christ. Currently, we have 14 LGs that are meeting regularly:

Youth Alive!
Our youth fellowship, better known as Youth Alive!, seeks to invite teenagers from the ages of 13 to 18 to come every Saturday from 3.00 PM - 5:00 PM for a time of fun activities, games, fellowship and talks. This age period during a teenager's life is crucial, as it helps form the person's worldview and outlook of life in the onslaught of the media, internet and peer opinion.
It is the prayer and hope of Youth Alive! that in collaboration with parents and families, we can provide an environment where friendship may flourish, positive peer and adult support can be encouraged, and the word of God can be learned in a way that is meaningful to the youths, so that their lives can be counted for our Lord Jesus' sake.
Sunday School
At Emmanuel EFC, we believe that every person, regardless of age, gender, denomination, and ability deserves to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ and the saving work He has done for us.

Sunday School is a place where the Gospel message is tailored in a special way through songs, conversations, lessons, games, and craft - delivered to a very special audience, the children, by our team of faithful and dedicated teachers.

We welcome all children aged between 1-12 years old to join us for Sunday School every Sunday, 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM, to learn more about God and His love for all of us.
College LG (Ignite)
The college and university phase of life can be quite overwhelming with it being a major crossroad in life, making decisions that will chart your future, stepping foot into the "real world" and encountering different worldviews that challenges your faith.
Join us, those who are in the same shoes, journeying together to not only survive this phase, but to thrive as we seek to fix our eyes on Jesus above all things.
We meet every Friday at 8:30 PM to worship, dig into the Bible, and pray for each other. We also have special topical sessions (e.g. on relationships or apologetics), celebrations and retreats together.
Young Working Adults
Entering the working life after years of being a student can be challenging. Join us as we participate in bible studies and topical discussions (i.e., workaholism, difficult colleagues). We also meet for activities such as coffee talks, outings, and prayer meetings.

The group meets every Friday at 8:30 PM in the homes of members living in Wangsa Maju and Taman Melawati.
Prayer
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." (Philippians 4:6)
Prayer is so fundamental to our effectiveness in honouring and serving God, that we can never over-emphasise the need to humble ourselves before the Lord's throne of mercy and grace to pray.
Every bi-monthly, our church's Prayer Newsletter is published and circulated internally amongst members. This publication contains specific prayer and praise items pertaining to our ministries and individuals. Members are encouraged to use it as a guide for personal as well as group intercessory prayer.
Every Sunday, we hold prayer meetings at 8:00 - 8:45 AM and a pre-service prayer time at 8:45 AM just before Sunday Service begins. We also meet together on Zoom every first Wednesday of the month at 8:00 - 9:30 PM to pray. For more information, kindly feel free to contact us.
Community Outreach
We seek to be channels of God’s blessings to our neighbouring community by offering friendship, hospitality and providing practical help to those in need.

SPICES is an acronym for Support for Parents, Infants and Children through Early Services. We provide support services to children with developmental delays and learning difficulties and to their parents as well.
SPICES is a non-profit community project by Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church, Wangsa Maju, KL. Every man, woman and child is valuable in the eyes of God. Each person's presence, whatever the measure of his or her abilities, adds to the richness and diversity of life. The old adage that "variety is the spice of life" embodies a part of what SPICES believes in as we work with children with special needs.
SPICES offers:
-
An Early Intervention Programme (EIP) for children from birth to 6 years of age.
-
A Resource Library for families of children with special needs and practitioners.
-
Consultation and training in Early Intervention and Inclusion for kindergartens, teachers, and parents.
Ping Pong
The space at EEFC is open for ping-pong sessions. People of all ages gather on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3PM - 7PM.
Missions & Evangelism Ministries
"God is a missionary God. The Bible is a missionary book. The Gospel is a missionary subject. The Church is a missionary institution. And when the church ceases to be missionary minded, it has denied its faith and betrayed its trust." -- "The Making of a Missionary" by J Herbert Kane, p. 1
EEFC's missions are based on these thrusts:
-
Teaching the Biblical basis of missions
-
Linking - Gathering and providing information related to missionary work globally
-
Selection of candidates
-
Being a responsible sending church
-
Teaching
As part of our teaching thrust towards missions, we organise or participate in the following programmes:
-
Missions Month -- In our church calendar, every October is dedicated for missions. Missionaries and representatives from various mission agencies will be invited to share their works, situations and needs in the mission fields. In addition, one of the weekends in October will be set apart as a Missions Weekend, where a continuous series of missions related messages will be preached. Our Sunday School, Youth Alive! and College LG will also focus on missions during the month.
-
Regular church meeting platforms -- Opportunities will be used through our Sunday Pulpit, LGs, Youth Alive! and Sunday School sessions to create and increase awareness and support of missions.
-
Missions Conferences -- Examples include OMF Missions Conference and AFMC.
-
Missions through literature

Worship Ministry
It is important that the congregation is ready to come and worship God every Sunday. Our team, which consists of worship leaders, backup singers, musicians, and the audio-visual team, aims to give our best to the Lord and use the gifts graciously given by Him to lead the congregation to focus on God - through prayer, the reading of Scripture, and through the songs that we offer in adoration and praise. We also acknowledge that worship involves so much more than these and hence, we humbly seek to heed the words of Paul in Romans 12:1 to present our bodies "as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God."
